Let Me Explain
So, hey.
I know, this isn't consistent. I would say I'm working on that but that would be a lie. This is why we have the whole Instagram thing. You follow and interact there and here. So where one is slacking the other catches.
"But Pandora, you don't post regularly on there."
HA, a bald-faced lie. Ya girl just saw THE Queen of the Dancehall, Spice at the Bayfest concert held at the beautiful Biscayne Bay campus of FIU 'GO PANTHERS, RAW' and lost my whole entire voice. What a Queen, what a performance.
You know who else was there, Harmonik. For all the Kompa fans in the building. My homies from Ayiti were KILLING it on the dancefloor. Showing the good folks how to Kompa and have fun. Guess who else was being a baller, Harmonik's guitarist. Good sir was catching that good good Kompa whine AND playing the guitar. 'Yes, you read that right.' I was out there attempting my lil' 1, 2 Kompa steps. That whole set was such fun man, a WHOLE vibe.
And then let us give it up one time for the Boss himself, Rick Ross. Hittin' us with the hits and the inspiration to be better versions of ourselves. That was nice set as well, Rest in Peace and Power to Nipsey Hussle. I cannot lie and say I know all the Rick Ross songs, or verses but m-m-m-m-m-Maybach Music definitely has defined an era of my life. Cause best believe when the radio stations, DJs and parties in Jamaica played American music Ricky Rosay was heard on the speaker box.
And then the QUEEN herself. SPICE. Look man, I'll be the first to admit I don't know her music and lyrics as well as most Jamaican girls 'not in my mother's good good Christian home, she was not entertaining most of Dancehall's shenanigans and still ain't' but this woman is ICONIC, and if you didn't know before you know now. Like people who didn't know who she was before were ready to stan after her set. I honestly want to see her in an even more authentic space because that performance was watered down because it's a school and they don't play like that. But whew babay, Spice puts on a show. And that is that on that.
So yeah, I'm an active poster on the 'gram. Especially in my stories. So go take a gander at my "Shows n' Mo" tab. And while you're there appreciate the rest of the page too.
No playlist or pictures this week. Just wasn't actively feeling like it. But do go listen to these artists that I mentioned today.
